Lychnocephalus är ett släkte som omfattar 4 arter i familjen asterväxter. Växterna i släktet är små träd eller mer sällan buskar. Bladen är läderartade. Blomkorgarna sitter i samlingar i bladvecken eller ytterst på grenarna. I varje korg finns 4 till 15 blommor. Blomfärgen är vanligen lila men sällsynt förekomer även vita blommor. Utbredningsområdet är i sydöstra Brasilien i Sydamerika.
