Sotoa är ett monotypiskt släkte i familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i södra centrala USA och Mexiko.

Arten i släktet Sotoa är markväxande med ett sympodialt växtsätt. Blomman är vitaktig och sitter i samlingar likt ett ax på en lång stjälk.
