Systematik

Det vetenskapliga namnet "Orininae" fick denna undertribus av Paul M. Peterson, Konstantyn Romaschenko & Yolanda Herrera Arrieta i publikationen Taxon Volume 65, Issue 6 när den gavs ut 2016. Typsläkte är Orinus.
