Notechidnopsis är ett monotypiskt släkte i familjen oleanderväxter och har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i södra Afrika.

Arten i släktet är en suckulent med få grenar och bildar glesa tuvor. Stammen är mer eller mindre upprättväxande eller kryper under det ytliga jordlagret. Blomman utvecklas nära toppen av stammen. Den har en stark, söt stank.

Systematik

Typart för släktet är N. tessellata. Det vetenskapliga namnet Notechidnopsis kommer från grekiskans notos som betyder söder, sydlig och echidnopsis som är en nära släkting, men just detta släkte har en mycket sydligare utbredning.
