Lasiacis är ett släkte i familjen gräs och består av cirka 15 arter. Släktet har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i sydöstra USA, Mexiko, Centralamerika, Västindien, norra Sydamerika, västra Sydamerika, Brasilien och södra Sydamerika.

Lasiacis innehåller arter som är tuvbildande, utvecklar rhizomer eller utlöpare, är fleråriga örter som har linjära blad. Bladen utvecklas både vid basen och utmed strået och blir från 5 till 25 millimeter breda. Plantan utvecklar ett ledat strå som blir från 50 till 10 000 centimeter långt. Strået är ihåligt, eller inte, och i änden av strået utvecklas en blomställning. Blommorna sitter i småax som i sin tur har en blomställning likt en vippa.

Systematik

Det vetenskapliga namnet Lasiacis fick släktet av Albert Spear Hitchcock i publikationen Contributions from the United States National Herbarium Vol.15 när den gavs ut 1910. Typart för släktet är Lasiacis divaricata.
