Hubbardochloa är ett monotypiskt släkte i familjen gräs och består av endast en art. Släktet har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i västcentrala tropiska Afrika och södra tropiska Afrika.

Hubbardochloa innehåller växter som är tuvbildande, ettåriga örter som har linjära blad. Bladen utvecklas både vid basen och utmed strået och blir från 1 till 5 millimeter breda. Plantan utvecklar ett upprättväxande, ledat strå som blir från 4 till 17 centimeter långt. Strået är ihåligt och i änden av strået utvecklas en blomställning. Blommorna sitter i småax som i sin tur har en blomställning likt en vippa.

Systematik

Det vetenskapliga namnet Hubbardochloa fick släktet av Paul Henri Auquier i publikationen Bulletin du Jardin Botanique National de Belgique Vol. 50 när den gavs ut 1980. Typart för släktet är Hubbardochloa gracilis.
