Epidendrum ellipticum är en art i epidendrumsläktet och familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i fuktiga skogar längs bergssluttningar på höjder från 600 till 1300 meter i Paraguay, nordöstra Brasilien, norra Brasilien, sydöstra Brasilien, södra Brasilien och västra centrala Brasilien.

E. ellipticum är stor och markväxande med ett sympodialt växtsätt. Bladen är elliptiska och sitter infästa direkt på stammen. Blomman är rosa och blir upp till 2,5 centimeter i diameter. Den utvecklas på ett blomskaft som blir 5 till 15 centimeter långt. Flertalet blommor utvecklas samtidigt på samma blomskaft.

E. ellipticum trivs bäst i direkt solljus och en genomsnittlig nattemperatur från 15 till 24°C. Blomning sker från våren till sommaren.
