Cryptantha är ett släkte som omfattar ungefär 105 arter i familjen förgätmigejväxter. Växterna i släktet är vanligen ett-, två- och fleråriga örter. De är håriga och vissa är tuvbildande. Bladen är linjära till smalt äggrunda. Blommorna är smalt trattformade. Blomfärgen är oftast vit med ett gult svalg men även helt gula blommor förekommer. Utbredningsområdet är i centrala till västra Nordamerika och i västra och södra Sydamerika. Några arter odlas som prydnadsväxter.
