Allocephalus är ett monotypiskt släkte i familjen asterväxter. Växterna i släktet är ettåriga örter som blir upp till 70 centimeter höga. Bladen är brett elliptiska, 5 till 17 centimeter långa och upp till 10 centimeter breda. Blomkorgarna sitter i små samlingar. Utbredningsområdet är i västra centrala Brasilien i Sydamerika.
