Stelis är ett släkte i familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i sydöstra USA, Mexiko, Centralamerika, Västindien, norra Sydamerika, västra Sydamerika och Brasilien. Släktet består av runt 900 arter.

Arter i släktet Stelis är epifyter eller sällsynt litofyter med ett sympodialt växtsätt. De är miniatyrer till medelstora växter som har blommor på längre skaft. De växer i mossiga, fuktiga skogar på trädstammar eller ibland på klippor. Bladen är spatelformade till elliptiska. Blomman sitter ensam eller tillsammans med flera på ett blomskaft och varierar i färg från grulgrön, vit, rosa, lila, vinröd och flerfärgad. En del blommor är ljuskänsliga och behöver lite solljus för att öppna sig och vissa arter har blommor som sluter sig under natten.
