Puya stenothyrsa är en flerårig ört i puyasläktet i familjen ananasväxter.

Blommorna sitter i en smal samling med korta sidostjälkar. Högbladen är sågtandade och 5 centimeter långa. Foderbladen är lansettformade och 2,5 centimeter långa. Kronbladen är 5 centimeter långa.

Denna art är endemisk i Bolivia i västra Sydamerika.
