Mexipedium är ett monotypiskt släkte i familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i sydvästra Mexiko. De har sitt habitat på höjder runt 350 meter över havet.

Arten i släktet är litofyta örter. De utvecklar rhizomer från vilka det utvecklas korta stammar. Få till många linjära blad sitter läng stammen. Från toppen av stammen utvecklas ett upprättväxande blomskaft som blir upp till 14 centimeter långt. Upp till 2 blommor utvecklas samma tidigt på samma blomskaft.

Systematik

Typart för släktet är M. xerophyticum. Det vetenskapliga namnet Mexipedium fick släktet av Victor Anthony Albert och Mark Wayne Chase.
