Indocalamus är ett släkte i familjen gräs och består av cirka 32 arter. Släktet har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i Kina och Indokina.

Indocalamus innehåller arter som är tuvbildande, utvecklar korta rhizomer, är fleråriga växter som har lansettformade blad. Bladen utvecklas längs grenar utmed strået och blir från 5 till 25 millimeter breda. Plantan utvecklar ett upprättväxande, ledat, ihåligt och vedartat strå som blir från 60 till 300 centimeter långt. Vid lederna längs grenarna utvecklas blomställningar. Blommorna sitter i småax som i sin tur har en blomställning likt en öppen eller spretig vippa.

Systematik

Det vetenskapliga namnet Indocalamus fick släktet av Takenoshin Nakai i publikationen Journal of the Arnold Arboretum Vol. 6 när den gavs ut 1925. Typart för släktet är Indocalamus sinicus.
