Guanchezia är ett monotypiskt släkte i familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i norra Sydamerika, närmare bestämt i Venezuela. Den har sitt habitat i fuktiga skogar på höjder från 1200 till 1600 meters höjd över havet.

Arten i släktet är stora epifyta örter som utvecklar pseudobulber. Den bildar tuvor via rhizomer. Ur pseudobulben utvecklas ensamma elliptiska och veckade blad. Från basen av stammen utvecklas ett blomskaft som blir upp till 130 centimeter långt. Upp till 3 blommor utvecklas samtidigt på samma blomskaft. Blomman är mycket iögonfallande och blir upp till 10 centimeter i diameter.

Systematik

Typart för släktet är G. maguirei. Det vetenskapliga namnet Guanchezia fick släktet av Gustavo Adolfo Romero och Germán Carnevali.
