Cycnoches ventricosum är en art i svanorkidésläktet och familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i tropiska skogar längs bergssluttningar på höjder från 400 till 1000 meter i Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexikanska golfen, Nicaragua, sydvästra Mexiko och sydöstra Mexiko.

C. ventricosum är en stor epifyt med en pseudobulb som stam. Bladen är elliptiska och sitter infästa direkt på stammen. Blomman är grön till ljusgrön med vit läpp, mycket doftande och blir upp till 12,5 centimeter i diameter. Den utvecklas på ett blomskaft som blir 20 till 30 centimeter långt. Från 7 till 12 blommor utvecklas samtidigt på samma blomskaft hängande i änden av stammen.

C. ventricosum trivs bäst i starkt ljus eller fullt solljus och en genomsnittlig nattemperatur från 19 till 29°C. Blomning sker under sommaren.
