Bulbophyllum olivinum är en art i bulbofyllumsläktet och familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i fuktiga skogar längs bergssluttningar på höjder från 1500 till 3000 meter på Nya Guinea.

B. olivinum är små örter som är epifyta med ett sympodialt växtsätt och har pseudobulber. Bladen är elliptiska och ett ensamt blad utvecklas ur pseudobulben. Blomman är gulbrun med gul läpp och blir upp till 0,5 centimeter i diameter. Den utvecklas på ett blomskaft som blir 33 till 72 centimeter långt. Från 15 till 55 blommor utvecklas samtidigt på samma blomskaft hängande från basen av stammen.

B. olivinum trivs bäst i ljusdunkel skugga till halvskugga och en genomsnittlig nattemperatur från 10 till 19°C. Blomning sker från senvintern till våren.
