Bulbophyllum australe är en art i bulbofyllumsläktet och familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i fuktiga skogar längs bergssluttningar på höjder från 1000 till 1200 meter i Thailand.

B. australe är mycket små örter som är epifyta med ett sympodialt växtsätt och har pseudobulber. Arten bildar små tuvor med hjälp av rhizomer mellan pseudobulberna. Bladen är smalt elliptiska och ett ensamt blad utvecklas ur pseudobulben. Blomman är gulaktig med rödaktig utsida och blir upp till 1 centimeter i diameter. Den utvecklas på ett blomskaft som blir 3 till 5 centimeter långt. Från 8 till 12 blommor utvecklas samtidigt på samma blomskaft hängande från basen av stammen.

B. australe trivs bäst i full skugga och en genomsnittlig nattemperatur från 15 till 19°C. Blomning sker från våren till sommaren.
