Bulbophyllum absconditum är en art i bulbofyllumsläktet och familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i fuktiga skogar längs bergssluttningar på höjder från 100 till 1900 meter i Filippinerna, på Java, Nya Guinea, i Nya Kaledonien, på Små Sundaöarna, Sulawesi, Sumatra, i sydvästra Stilla havet och Vanuatu.

B. absconditum är små örter som är epifyta med ett sympodialt växtsätt och har pseudobulber. Bladen är elliptiska och ett ensamt blad utvecklas ur pseudobulben. Blomman är grön och blir upp till 0,5 centimeter i diameter. Den utvecklas på ett blomskaft som blir 1 till 2 centimeter långt. En ensam blomma utvecklas på ett blomskaft upprättväxande från basen av stammen.

B. absconditum trivs bäst i full skugga och en genomsnittlig nattemperatur från 15 till 29°C. Blomning sker under sensommaren.
