Väderblomssläktet omfattar ungefär 20 arter i familjen asterväxter. Växterna i släktet är ett- eller fleråriga örter, halvbuskar eller buskar. Blomkorgarna sitter ensamma eller i samlingar. Strålblommorna är vita, gula, orange eller rödlila. Det ursprungliga utbredningsområdet är i södra tropiska Afrika och södra Afrika. Släktet har även naturaliserats i andra områden i världen. Några arter odlas som prydnadsväxter.
