Bulbophyllum boninense är en art i bulbofyllumsläktet och familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i fuktiga skogar längs bergssluttningar på höjder från 1200 till 1500 meter på Ogasawaraöarna.

B. boninense är små örter som är epifyta med ett sympodialt växtsätt och har pseudobulber. Arten bildar små tuvor med hjälp av rhizomer mellan pseudobulberna. Bladen är elliptiska och ett ensamt blad utvecklas ur pseudobulben. Blomman är gul med röda anstrykningar, gul läpp och blir upp till 1,5 centimeter i diameter. Den utvecklas på ett blomskaft som blir 15 till 20 centimeter långt. Från 4 till 8 blommor utvecklas samtidigt på samma blomskaft, arrangerade likt en solfjäder, hängande från basen av stammen.

B. boninense trivs bäst i ljusdunkel skugga till halvskugga och en genomsnittlig nattemperatur från 10 till 15°C. Blomning sker från våren till sommaren.
