Bulbophyllum basisetum är en art i bulbofyllumsläktet och familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i fuktiga skogar längs dalgångar på höjder från havsnivå till 200 meter i Filippinerna.

B. basisetum är små örter som är epifyta med ett sympodialt växtsätt och har pseudobulber. Arten bildar små tuvor med hjälp av rhizomer mellan pseudobulberna. Bladen är omvänt lansettformade och ett ensamt blad utvecklas ur pseudobulben. Blomman är mörkröd med gula anstrykningar, doftande och blir upp till 4 centimeter i diameter. Den utvecklas på ett blomskaft som blir 4 till 8,5 centimeter långt. Från 3 till 8 blommor utvecklas samtidigt, eller efter varandra, på samma blomskaft upprättväxande från basen av stammen.

B. basisetum trivs bäst i ljusdunkel skugga till halvskugga och en genomsnittlig nattemperatur från 24 till 29°C. Blomning sker från våren till sommaren.
