Cyrtopodium är ett släkte i familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i sydöstra USA, Mexiko, Centralamerika, Västindien, norra Sydamerika, västra Sydamerika, Brasilien och södra Sydamerika. Släktet består av cirka 48 arter.

Arter i släktet utvecklar medelstora till stora plantor. De är epifyter, litofyter eller markväxande och utvecklar cigarrformade pseudobulber. De fäller sina blad en gång om året. Många blommor utvecklas på samma blomskaft, som i sin tur utvecklas från basen av pseudobulben.

Systematik

Typart för släktet är C. andersonii. Det vetenskapliga namnet Cyrtopodium fick släktet av Robert Brown och består av två delar. Dels det grekiska ordet kyrtos som betyder krökt och podos som betyder fot. Blommans pelare är krökt uppåt nere vid basen.
