Leochilus är ett släkte i familjen orkidéer som har sitt naturliga utbredningsområde i sydöstra USA, Mexiko, Centralamerika, Västindien, norra Sydamerika, västra Sydamerika och Brasilien. De har sitt habitat i fuktiga skogar på höjder från 100 till 700 meter över havet. Släktet består av cirka 12 arter.

Arter i släktet är epifyta örter som har pseudobulber. Från pseudobulben utvecklas ett ensamt elliptiskt blad. Från basen av stammen utvecklas ett kort upprättväxande blomskaft. Flertalet blommor kan utvecklas på samma blomskaft. Blomman saknar sporre.

De liknar arter i släktena Comparettia, Notylia och Rodriguezia.

Systematik

Typart för släktet är L. oncidioides. Det vetenskapliga namnet Leochilus fick släktet av George Beauchamp Knowles och Frederic Westcott.
