Gomphostemma är ett släkte som omfattar ungefär 30 arter i familjen plisterväxter. Växterna i släktet är fleråriga örter eller buskar. Stjälkarna eller grenarna är ludna. Bladen är stora och motsatta. Blommorna sitter i samlingar. Blomfodret är klockformat. Blomkronan är gulvit till gulorange. Den är tvåläppig och den nedre läppen har 3 uddar. Frukten är en liten nöt. Utbredningsområdet är i södra Kina, östra Asien, på den indiska subkontinenten, i Indokina och Malesien.
